Supporting better, pain-free movement & function through evidence based osteopathic care.

Welcome to Tom Humphris Osteopathy (TH Osteopathy). I provide professional evidence based osteopathic treatment, focused on identifying the root cause of your pain not just managing your symptoms.

Treatment is tailored to you, your body and your goals, whether you’re recovering from injury or looking to move more comfortably day to day.

Services and Treatments

Osteopathy can help a wide range of people with various health issues, especially where they relate to the musculoskeletal system.   This may include, those with:

Back and Neck Pain

Back and neck pain or general stiffness in this area can be helped, whether chronic or acute pain.

Joint and muscle pain, including sciatica

Joints can be placed under stress from time to time resulting in pain and muscle stiffness.

Headaches

Some headaches can be a symptom of muscle tightness in the neck and shoulders.

Sport injuries

Felt a sharp or dull pain following a sporting activity? The sooner treatment starts, should result in swifter recovery.

Work related stresses and strains

Sitting at a desk all day can lead to muscle tightness and weaknesses, resulting in poor posture.

Postural issues

An imbalance in posture, can increase unnecessary stress on different muscle groups, resulting in discomfort in other areas.

Osteopathic treatment is a hands-on approach that focuses on the relationship between the body’s structure (muscles, joints, and tissues) and how it functions. It aims to improve movement and reduce strain so the body can work more efficiently.

It is commonly used for musculoskeletal issues such as back and neck pain, joint stiffness, muscle tension, and sports-related injuries. It may also be helpful for postural problems, tension-type headaches, and general aches linked to daily activities or repetitive strain.

Treatment is typically based on bespoke treatment plans, meaning care is tailored to the individual rather than following a standard protocol. This can include manual techniques (e.g. soft tissue work or joint mobilisation or manipulation) alongside advice on movement, exercise, and posture.

Osteopathy is not only used for symptom relief but also as a preventative approach. By addressing movement restrictions and minor dysfunctions early, it can help reduce the likelihood of ongoing or recurring issues while supporting general physical function.

If you don’t see your injury or condition mentioned above, or are uncertain if osteopathy can help you, please feel free to contact me to discuss if I can help.
